Well, it was a close race but it looks like I lost by just 50 votes. Although I won in Bangor and in Orono, my opponent did a great job mobilizing voters in his home town of Veazie, and that put him over the top. I have called Jim Parker to offer him my congratulations and support for the election he will face in November. Thank you everyone who supported and encouraged me during this campaign. Please stand behind Jim in the upcoming election and also do everything you can to support our nominee for Governor, Paul LePage.

Remember independents and Republicans can vote, but independents must join our Republican party first by filling out a form before they vote in the Republican primary. We want and need them in our party!

Candidates endorsed by the RLC share our commitment to the ideals of individual rights, limited government, and free enterprise and are working to implement those principles within the Republican Party. The RLC is working to help pro-liberty Republicans TAKE OVER the Republican Party and boot out all of the former Democrats and other various Big Government advocates. We have been working toward this goal since our founding in 1991.

“I am honored to have this endorsement. It proves to the voters of District 18 that I am the candidate most committed to a smaller and more responsible government in Augusta. Republican voters should choose Bill Osmer in the June 8 primary election.”

Please view the endorsement at http://www.rlc.org/endorsed-candidates-2010/ (Scroll down to MAINE).
